Default What can I expect with this cam?

I just bought a new cam and was wondering how it will act with my mods? Pat G. specked it- Specs 218/228.563" 116LSA+2 advance. I also got some TEA .660 dual springs and 7.400 pushrods. My stock trans finally gave up after 100k miles 70k blower miles. I ordered a new trans from Performabuilt level 2 with a 2800 billet torque converter. I am going to pulley down to a 2.8 and am contemplating meth because I live in the valley where its always hot just about. This is my DD and was wondering if it will have nice driving manners.

Sounds like a great cam for a Radixed 6.0.

You'll like that cam. Pat G. doesn't miss too often if at all. I have one just slightly smaller and one just a little bigger. Both under TVS2300's. It should idle just slightly rougher than stock. Any softness on the bottom end will be picked up by the MP122. Rockin' a 2.8 pulley, you'll be able to get into boost at the blink of an eye. With a good tune, you should have near perfect manners.

That cam should be awesome with your blower. I would think you would see a huge improvement over stock, even more so than an NA motor like mine. I can't imagine you wouldnt love it.

Check with Pat again on the pushrod length. If he spec'd it out from his usual vender (EPS), the lobed are slightly different. My PatG cam required 7.425" push rods.

Don't believe those are EPS's proprietary lobes. Probably Comp Cams lobes. The EPS stuff has higher lift.

eps is usually .598 0r .600
that .563 sounds like comp maybe xer lobe? which explains the 7.4 pushrods

It's a Comp Cam. My fuel system should handle this, yes?

If everything is "right", it should. If the pump gets a little weak or the sock gets a little dirty, you'll be in trouble. Keep an eye on the fuel pressure/afr's. I had almost the exact same rig as you're running. Truck went a little lean....lean condition provided me with an "opportunity" to forge the motor.
