weighing my engine build engine options
#21
My 418 even with a 237/242 cam it still had plenty of low end to move my heavy *** ECSB Z71. Larger bore cant hurt anything, get more power, easier and the extra 20 cubes are nice.

yes i know i will need a 6.0 block. see that another thing i need to buy. lol
if my cam and heads will work then i wouldn't worry so much. but is it going to fall on its face at 5500 rpm or will it pull to say 6200 or so. i don't need a extreme high rever but i'd like to be able to pull at least to where the stock nnbs manifold like to pull to. one of those "whole package works together" things.
it like to pull good now but it seems the intake is more of the limit on rpm for me. three different cams and they all stop pulling around 6000-6200 rpm. i know some guys pull higher with stock mani but most don't weigh 6000lbs either.

ok, i did some searching and found my cam specs. i'm deployed so i can't just go look at the box. 215/218 603/595 115+1 are the specs. not sure if that better or worse for the 402 then what i mentioned earlier.
