Want my truck faster
#42
My biggest problem is my stock LMG series 2007 engine will not die. It’s completely stock and the truck only has a tune from Blackbear. So far it’s taken out a rearend (replaced by a 14 bolt s/f), and a transmission (replaced w/ a fully built 4l65).
I’m almost at the point where I’m thinking it would be cool to do a full rebuild w/heads & cam plus all the longevity parts then put a million miles on it.
Plus an LSA blower for fun at some point.
It’s just my family wagon, not a race truck. These 4 & 5th gen LS engines are putting GM outta business, the rest of my truck looks damn good in my opinion and I have zero incentive to buy anything newer than 2013...ever.

Thanks! I agree 100% on aesthetics, but this truck isn’t what it seems as it sits.
Those 22’s would be folded in half the second I hit the dirt.
Currently undecided on wheels, so the stock steelies are staying for now.
The front has extended travel 2.5” King coilovers w/ external reservoirs + Dirt King upper arms.
The rear is more interesting but simple. It’s spring under, aftermarket flipped shackle and hanger, plus Deaver Spring Mini pack (2” lift) w/ overload spring removed. Just some basic Bilstein shocks that serve their purpose.
The truck has 6” of upward travel out back as it sits with my bump stop mounts cut off. The tires actually tuck into the rear fenders about an inch at full bump.
It’s a stock looking mini sleeper off road..Surprises the **** out of people.
Never taken pictures of the rear, I’ll try and find one of the front underside..

Anyways, that’s enough of my crap.
We all want to make our trucks faster. It’s all subjective. If I could make my truck match up to a stock c5 vette with a decent drive I’d be 100% happy.
Some guys here are beyond that..and then some.

Ah man, I think you read that wrong. He wasn't calling you out, he was just saying that you didn't have to share the details if you didn't want to. Sounds like he was sympathetic to your plight.
I wrecked dirt bike about 3yrs ago, $4600 up front, but then 1yr 1day later I got a check for $4200.
Medical insurance is a scam. I hope you're healthy now. The rest is just money man. Comes and goes.

Currently, conservative or not, the Burban averages about 15 mpg. I was actually making less without the hairdryer. The 0 psi boost on the interstate helps the cruise control keep speed at our 6250ft altitude.
