That's the route I'll take then also are the shims for the pedestals strictly for the more than one turn deal yt advertises or is it used for wipe pattern?

really need some insight guys this whole yella terra instruction deal compared to the comp istructions is making my brain hurt.

pushrod length is set at 7.6 and came out to 1 and 3/4 turns of preload so roughly 90-94 thou...i know this is stock lifter preload on ls1s but this seems way too much. in the YT instructions they strictly say if there is more than 1 turn to run a shim, the question is with the shim will i be close to one full turn/ still within spec?

LMAO you're not listening at all. the 1 3/4 turn method is a crap shoot. dont post back until you have checked with a pushrod length checker. the ONLY way to check should be with a pushrod length checker.

can you get a video of this noisey valvetrain?

I was told that way comes up with the same measurement as extended and tqing down. I could do it the way your describing too if need be just to check. Checker was 6.8 and 15 turns for .47 preload and the 7.6 offered 70 thou.

Extend the pushrod to zero lash then add the desired preload. Thats the length pushrod you want.
