Exclamation Tfs heads pushrods now lots of valvetrain noise

Well I just got the truck running last night on the base map. At idle lifters are fairly quiet but above 3k or rpm coming down while cruising they're very noisey. The lifters are brand new ls2s and the preload was roughly 50 thou with the recommended tfs 7.5 rods. Does anyone have any idea why these are making so much noise? I'm honestly afraid to keep driving this thing with its sewing machine like noises

depending on which lifters you got, some of the LS2 lifters have a .050 deeper pushrod cup than others.

my motor has the earlier style ls2 lifters. with trick flow heads i run a 7.80 pushrod. did you put a length check on it, or just go with their advice?

Are you also a 4.8/5.3? And I did go with their advice for a .51 compressed thickness headgasket. I did not check pushrod length and honestly I'm really regretting it. Their heads cam combo comes with 7.5s and the same thickness gasket. Either way I have no excuse for my own stupidity on that one. I know lifter preload is determined by pushrod length but these pushrods have a centered wipe pattern as well as 50 thou preload

checking pushrod length with a checker is super easy and doesn't take much time.
