well if you are going to built it for nitrous then you are going to want to go into the motor anyways, but if you are just wanting to add like a 100 or 125 shot then all you need is a kit but much more then that and you are looking at forged pistons and such.

yes some might say to back of the timing some if you have it tuned but if it is on the stock tune you should be fine might want to go with a heat range cooler plugs but you should be fine. Most say dont spray till after 3k rpm and try and let off a little before each shift or get a window switch. But like I said you should be fine.

With enough fuel and a custom tune and tr6 spark plugs, these trucks will do 150 all day long. You will be fine on the stock tune for a 100 shot with tr6 plugs. If you want to do a nitrous route, your last concern is going to be the motor...I would get a built tranny for starters.

i sprayed my 5.3 with a zex 75 dry shot. with nothing more then k&n filter and flowmaster cat back. on street tires it gained 1.2 seconds and 10mph. motor liked the spray but trans hated it 13.38 @ 104 1.98 60' RCSB

I had '00 with two stage wet system 75 low 75 high. Put system on at about 20,000 traded in at 75,000 bone stock and never had any trouble with tranny all I had was a hypertec programer and cold plugs. NO platinum!!!!
