Default PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads or PRC stage 2.5 LS6 heads

Well guys Im really thinking of gettin some new heads with my cam setup, but need some advice. Its for my 08 Sierra 5.3l. Im debating which ones of these heads to go with. I currently have a blower tvs1900 and i kno i need to watch my compression. Which of these heads do you think would be best sutiable? Or should they work about the same? I currently have my stock 243s but i figured its easier to buy a new set than to do some work to them.
Let me know what you guys think....

Just send yours off and have them ported, valve job and bigger valves installed.

Those were my intentions, but come to be I will probably end up spending the same amount of $ if not more and ontop of that still have to wait for the time comsumption and what not.

I debated this too. I ended up with the 5.3 heads. I have a friend recently asking the same question, and he is leaning towards the ls6 heads. Since the 5.3 heads are cheaper, I would go that route.

Yea, true they are cheaper 300$ difference....im leaning towrds the Ls6 right now, sound ideal to keep the compression as is with 64cc.....Still debating though

Remember the compression difference between the two is very small! We CNC port the 5.3L heads' chambers and they are about 63cc before any milling. The LS6 heads do not get a CNC chamber, and start right about 64cc. The major advantage of the LS6 is better port design and layout. Everything else equal, the LS6's will make better power!
