Default oil priming a ls1 motor

Is there any way to oil prime a ls1 motor? I want to do something before I start it up after my rebuild.

Ive just unglugged the coil packs and spun it over bout 15 seconds a couple times. Then plug the coil packs in and fire it up. Should have oil pressure pretty quick.

The assembly lube keeps everything lubricated until oil starts flowing. All the rebuilds I've done the OP builds up really fast, just like a oil change.

You have to be careful about turning the engine over too long without it running.. ive heard than can collapse lifters and make them pretty noisy for a few minutes..

I also turned the motor over with the coils unplugged and fuel pump relay out in my 408 build. It took a few cranks before it showed oil pressure but it worked great for me. Good Luck

If your not going to use a "professional" method or tool then i would deff use the methods like said above, byunplugging the coils or the fuel pump relay and crank it over until your oil pressure guage begines to move in the cluster.. then plug everything up and fire it up..
