newbie cam question
#11
The flow numbers look good. 2.02 intake valve is definitely on the large side for a 5.3, but they flow great.
The +2 is referring to advance ground into the cam. It has nothing to do with overlap aside from where it is located in relation to TDC.

Thanks for your guys time somebody I know offered me the cam, heads and pushrods for 1k seemed like a fair price that's why I was trying to get a answer on it would the heads be realistic or just the stock 243 with matching springs

The heads flow better than a stock 243 is those numbers are accurate. Any idea on the intake runner volume? Also being a 62cc combustion chamber they will keep compression higher than the 243 will. Assuming its all in good shape it seems like a good deal.
The heads will work fine with a turbo too. Cam would be OK as well. I'd like to see a touch more advance with a turbo to help low end power and spool time. Even if its just a 1 or 2 degrees making is a 112+3 or 112+4

Thanks for the info tick spec ed the cam in question for those heads for the fbody I'll call them and see if they could spec one for my application using the same heads, I think it was Mario from spike had recommended a cam somewhere like 222,222 low 600 lift and a lsa of 113 or such I'll see how close a speed cam comes in relation to that one, but thanks alot man greatly appreciated I was beginning to wonder how come no one had any input on it, but I guess it gets kinda redundant answering the same old questions all the time but thank you again
