I just read this whole thread and about page three i had figured it out. Your timing has to be off! If i were closer i would come by and check it. Find a buddy thats close and pull the timing cover yourself, check the dots and if they dont line up, dont touch it! Put it back together take it back to the mechanic and tell him you need your money back. IT HAS TO BE A TOOTH OFF cuz i know Allan can get the tune damn close within three tries. BTW have you called Allen and asked his opinion? What is your gas mileage like right now?

All im saying is that the guy can tune a truck. Im pretty sure he has more experience and know-how about our trucks than any other tuner. IMO he is good at what he does and you can take that to the bank. Just look at who tuned the fastest NA 5.3l truck (v8)...Allen with a mail order tune! So no we arent swinging from his nuts, we just know that Allen knows his ****.

I just tried a few things today to see if it made any difference. I changed the fuel pressure regulator, spark plugs, and fuel filter. Everything still the same. ONe of my spark plugs had oil in it and the other 7 didn't. They all had a dark black ring. I took it for a drive and got some readings from the diablo handheld. @ WOT my long term fuel trims are at 15 and short term are 0. at idle they the fuel trims go from 2 to -2 on the short and 7 to -7 on the long. The O2 readings always stay from 600-900 at idle and and about 840 at WOT. I also have a little bit of greyish smoke coming from my tailpipes. What do you all think about this? Should I start saving for a new engine or am I sweating it too much?

wasnt richness a problem discussed about 6 pages ago? i cant remember why we didnt stick with that idea but im too lazy to check. just to clear it up though, having a brain fart,
fuel rich -too much air
fuel lean- too much fuel
or is it the other way around?
