Just trying to help you not make same mistake i did... Wish i had had cam specd to begin with.... Hate doing it twice, but live and learn!!! Dealing with headers now.... Had a set of shortys i planned to use but they didnt even mate to my stock ypipe well... And with what ive spent on cats and manifolds and now a set of headers and about to be another set of cats and my exhaust i couldve been done, but againat time i was dead set on running full ss exhaust, in hindsight i probably couldve had a set of kooks or whatever at this point and been done whth it.... But ive got a set of speed engineering1 7/8 longtubes getting ready to go in as soon as i can get ahold of a set of cats and get the vbands welded up....

I bought a set of speed engineering 1 7/8 full lengths too when I bought the cam. I havnt put em on yet but I bought it with the y-pipe so I won't be running any cats. I'm gonna put em on when the cam is in and go get it tuned right away. I think they should work out alright

I did a quick lil mock up to see how the y pipe would fit and it looked like it might've been a bit short. But it's hard to see how it all lines out with stock tubing still in place so we'll see what happens

Im in virginia and a state inspector so i kinda have to run cats....truck wont pass without em, and the state troopers like to check inspectors vehicles from time to time... Otherwise i would be running without cats, and if i had kept my old exhaust, i wouldve ordered a ypipe and just modified it to get a set of cats between the header collector and the y..... Which probably wouldve been simpler than what im about to do...

Ah I hear ya. We don't have to have emissions on 3/4 ton trucks here in Missouri. And my tune will take care of my cel lights. Otherwise I was gonna be going the the route you are

No I just kinda held everything next to the stock y pipe. I saw the few small extension pieces that came with it just wasn't sure how everything bolts up. When it's all being put together I'd imagine it'd be fine

I believe I have the 80e. I've done countless searches trying to figure out exactly which 6.0 I have when I was trying to confirm if I had vvt or not, along with trying to figure out which tranny I have just to have that that info. I never could find a definite answer on either

Look in your glovebox there will be a white or probably silver looking sticker with your vin and a bunch of rpo codes... You can tell everything you need from that sticker.... Being that its a 12 id say probably 6l80e trans which is iirc MYC rpo MYD for 6l90 and m30 for 4l60 and either l96 6.0 or i wanna saw the flex fuel version is an lc8.....
