MAXX rpm for stock 5.3??

Default MAXX rpm for stock 5.3??

Hey guys ,I have a 01 silverado 5.3 ex cab.2wd.im slowly doing the full bolt ons.i know the time for a tune is coming.i believe truck shifts at 5500rpms stock.want to see what's the MAXX rpm i can increse it and be on the safe side so tune it to shift .i was thinking 6200rpms.it will have full bolt ons,but stock internals.thanks for reading.

Stock cam 1>2 shift at 6000 2>3 shift at 5800

stock cam stops making power around 5200-5400

you can shift a stock block at 7000 a few times, but not on the stock valve springs . . . but don't count on it lasting

I think the stock ECM will go to 8k. Now, if anything else will, that's a different story.

99-04 5.3, I'd stay 6100 max. 05+ engines 6700 max.

my new 2012 5.3 is shifting at 6100 tuned by area47. after cam and springs ill have it higher.

intake manifold and heads will limit the flow on a stock engine above a certain RPM point, regardless of cam

Area47 is one hell of a tuner. Ive been in a few cobalts he's tuned.

6k to 6200 is safe. i shifted my stock 5.3 at 6,400 and as far as i know i'm still the only ECSB to make 13's on a completely stock internal 5.3...that was 6 years ago or so.
