my EC went 13.8 on a completely stock 5.3. 13.6 in a rcsb is believable to me.

Seriously?

I was constantly reading these trucks run low 15s 100% stock. Seems like people are calling out BS when someone claims they run a high 14.

Stock internal 5.3 doesn't mean everything is stock on the truck.

Ah, makes sense. I just assume when people say "Completely Stock" They mean what the words actually mean. Haha.

stock internal 5.3...stock heads/cam/pistons/etc etc. the truck had headers/cutout/3.73/tbss converter/intake and tune. stock 5.3 went 13.88, and the stock ls1 went 13.26. cam dropped ls1 to 12.49 and heads dropped it to 12.19. 125 shot put it at 11.5.

So we go from a completely stock 5.3, to converter and gears with a completely stock 5.3, and now to a full bolt-ons 5.3?

Would have been easier to come out and list the mods, saying it was a stock internal 5.3. A full bolt-on truck/car/whatever, no longer has a "stock" motor in it.

we were talking about stock 5.3s... these are stock 5.3s. yes the engine is still stock. without having to break a seal you could once again make the truck stock... none of this makes a difference in how high a 5.3 can spin stock which is the point of the thread?

did you happen to notice the op said he is slowly doing full bolt ons and already has intake and exhaust? and a tune obviously is next considering the question. none of that is stock.
