MAXX rpm for stock 5.3??

ive taken mine to almost 8,000...

granted thats, cam, springs, lifters, pushrods, etc...

Anything over 6k with stock valve springs is flirting with disaster.

Anything over 6500rpm with Babbitt cam bearings is shortening the engine life. At 6500rpm the camshaft is doing 13,000rpm. Sure you can't get away with 7k rpm but for how long....

The cam spins at half the speed of the crank.

Lol good cover.

i put 30k on my truck shifting at 7300 and it died from a dead injector... as far as stock completely i went 13.6 in a reg cab shifting around 6100 if i recall.

What cam were u running with the 7300 shift point?

Small. 220-224 530 534 112. it slowed down when shiften any lower on a 150 shot
