Stock cam 1>2 shift at 6000 2>3 shift at 5800

Thanks a lot for the info..and other inputs welcomed

stock cam stops making power around 5200-5400
you can shift a stock block at 7000 a few times, but not on the stock valve springs . . . but don't count on it lasting |
I think the stock ECM will go to 8k. Now, if anything else will, that's a different story.

99-04 5.3, I'd stay 6100 max. 05+ engines 6700 max.

my new 2012 5.3 is shifting at 6100 tuned by area47. after cam and springs ill have it higher.

intake manifold and heads will limit the flow on a stock engine above a certain RPM point, regardless of cam

6k to 6200 is safe. i shifted my stock 5.3 at 6,400 and as far as i know i'm still the only ECSB to make 13's on a completely stock internal 5.3...that was 6 years ago or so.
