Default ls6 spring identification (again)

I am doing a cam and spring swap. I bought some spring used a year or so back and understood they were 04 or 05 ls6 springs. they have a light orange stripe on them.
the ones I am removing from my stock 5.3 heads look vurtually identical they have a dark orange stripe. I have measured them and compared the wire diameter and heights they look identical. did I get teh wrong springs or can you tell. unless I hear differently I will probably order the yellow ones to be sure I just wish I knew.
any thoughts?
Thanks
Dave

if it has the orange stripe . . . then they're stockers. . .

LS6 springs are a solid blue or a solid yellow

Or babyshit green. The solid blue springs are good up to a .550 lift I'm told and the solid yellows and babyshit green ones are good up to .560-.580 lift depending on the severity of the lobe ramps.

If you can, upgrade the springs to the 918's (minimum). I went through a set of LS6 springs within 25K.

ok thanks guys I assumed they were stockers, I bought them a while back before I knew much about these engines, but after Ilooked at them I decided it was not worth taking a chance if there was any question and you all answered as expected.
my cam has a lift of .566, LPE suggested tthe ls6 springs but I will rethink the 918 again.
Not a huge setback maybe next week it will be running again...
thanks
Dave

If you're using the LPE cam (assuming a gt2-3) or similar the lobes on those cams are very gentle. Go with the LS6 yellow springs like they prescribe. They know what they're talking about. Don't use a 918.

I have more than likely installed and sold more GT2-3 cams in the last two years than LPE has. I have the GT2-3 in my truck, and in a matter of 20-25K with boost the springs were butter. I am not saying LPE does not know what they are talking about, but if you want to MAKE SURE you do not have an issue.....Get an after market spring like the 918's or patriot golds.
