LS6 or LQ9? Why not the Vette block?

Thats because they can get away with ALOT larger cam and LARGE intake runners. You are comparing apples to oranges man. They are running huge stalls or a manual and pushing aorund 3200#s you are pushing 6K. Two totally different worlds. You need TORQUE not hp.

A stroker will give you alot of tq along with the radix. Dont focus on the aluminum block with boost I would want strength and strength comes with the iron block plus they are cheap and easy to find. The LS6 to my understanding is just a head and came change over the LS1. If it was me I would get a 6L bore it make it a 408 and be done with it instant tq and plenty of power.

You wont have the torque that comes along with say 408 and a set of good heads but you should make more tq than you have already. You can also push more boost with the 408 because itll have forged pistons.

There's more to an LS6 than heads and cams -- the cylinders are also back cut and have oil channels to allow oil to switch between cylinders as the piston comes down or up. Maybe a minor change, but GM was sure proud of it
