Default ls6 cam, and how does it work with forced induction.

I'm thinking of going with an ls6 cam now, in preperation for the blower purchase down the road. i'll be running 3.73 gears, a 28" tire, and i'm thinking a 2600-3000 stall when all's said and done. am i wasting my time with this cam? i want good streetability, because it's my daily driver. i think this setup may offer that.

Lingenfelter performance is having a cam sale. they are selling their g-7 cam
which is part of their 500 hp magna charger upgrade. need springs and
pushrods though. for the same price. I ordered mine today and sent the
Zo6 cam back. I wish my blower would come in so i can get all these parts
on!

I have run the z06 cam with a magnacharger for over 40000mi.and it is great. In my z06 I made 495RWHP,435TQ it works excellent. It was designed for reliability in the long run,and to use lower tension springs for less wear. There may be better cams out there(I would even like to try one)But everyone will agree that you can do much worse than a z06 cam with a s/c.What I mean is,it works.

I have a ls6 cam, but i am not getting a stall. That is why i have the ls6 cam and not a bigger cam.

I loved the LS6 cam in my Whipple Charged 5.3.

It made huge power above 3500 rpm.

I have heard that, although it works, the z06 cam is not your best option. I have heard that it bleeds boost up top. I think BlownChevy did some testing on it awhile back.

This is common sense.... but it's better than a stock truck cam

Why would it bleed boost up top, with such a wide LSA?
