set of l92 square port 823 heads just ordered... Now I need to know if the PAC 1518s will cut it with this cam. .614/.621 ....
so whats left to sort out on this swap is:
Pac 1518s ??
ls7 lifter tray kit
Hd ls2 timing chain
oil pump
crank bolt
L92 intake
102mm TB
And should I run the 823s stock or Mill them .015?? Im runing the .040 gaskets... The cam and the lift, is pretty big.
Not sure if the 823s have a small CC chamber...
I want this engine to be solid, and it will be fresh.

okay so Ive been spending alot of time on ls1tech and ls2 forums and seems like the ls2 guys, say its a must to mill the head down to stock 62-64cc combustion on the l92s... And they run flat tops with cams specs larger than what I have. with equal or more lift. that said...
All of this is runing the stock gasket .051 I believe, but knowing me we are prob going to still run a .045 gasket and check PTV and pushrod length b4 its ready.
I was going to have my machinist shave .030 off both 823 heads. and Install my valve springs pac 1518 if those will work with my cam.
~11.2:1 isnt too bad, as Ill need the gobs of torque retained.

Ive decided to shave .030 off and install Brian Tooley Racing dual springs on the heads good to .660 I believe. And some Brian Tooley Racing Lifters.
We are hoping not to have to fly cut once we start measuring.
