Default LQ4 swap with LS2 questions?

I'm considering swapping out the LQ4 (and the turbo on it) from my 01 C3 truck and I'm entertaining a few different options.

One is a swap with a built up LS2. My truck is a drive by wire like the LS2, and I'm curious what other issues I might run into doing a swap? Thx!

LS2 is nothing more then a LQ9 with 243 casting heads and a car intake. but the LS2 is aluminum version of what i described

think of what i said as an ironblock LS2

Well Erik, let me put it this way-

67 bbc camaro-9.89 @ 135+ ------$35,000 and counting
69 sbc camaro-11.5 @ 118+ ------$60,000 and counting
01 turbo truck-12.4 @ 109+ ------$50,000 and counting (and tranny #4)

previous years income $250,000+
this years income $100,000?

As the song goes, you got to know when to hold em, and know when to fold em. In my case it's time to cut back somewhere, and with 2 other cars that are plenty fast, and not near as apt to keep spitting up trannies, (or fork over $6000 for another tranny I'd hope would live, race, tow, etc...) I think I've had my fun with the turbo truck. I'd like to get back to a 400hp truck that will tow without overheating the trans, get decent mpg and not be in the shop every other week bleeding my wallet dry.

It's just one of those realities you come to when you hit a certain age, and unfortunately I'm there.

Get a 3/4 diesel truck if you want power and towing!

It's not a totally plug and play swap. Are you wanting to swap over the LS2 intake and fuel system or just the long block?

Its not a direct swap. The knock sensors are different spots on a LS2. You will also need a conversion harness for the cam sensor and for the knock sensors. Thunder Racing sells both harnesses by Racetronix.

So would the LS2 90mm Throttle-Body work with an 04 if I wanted to swap in a 402?

Sorry to but in, but I'm still cloudy on whether or not the Vette TB works in the truck of an 03+?
