Question Largest stock idle cam in a 6.0?

I'm helping a friend put together a good 6.0 combo and he's wanting the biggest cam possible and still retain a stock or near stock idle. What size cams do some of you guys have that fits this description? I'm thinking something in the range of low 220's and 114 lsa or 225 and 116+ lsa. It will be a N/A engine.
Also, if you idle yours up to 900 will it smooth out?
My 223/218 114 turbo cam sounds stock at 900 rpms.
What chu guys think?

You guys with 5.3's throw in as well, it would make for a good comparison.

I'd look at the GT2-3 from Lingenfelter and the 2002 version of the LS6 cam. They are pretty similar cams really. As mentioned, the have a wide LSA and therefore not so much overlap. Overlap is really what takes away the smooth idle. Wider overlap takes away the intensity/peakness of the power band and spreads the RPM range. It's not a bad compromise, but your peak HP and Torque won't be as great.

About the biggest I've seen work is the Comp Cams XER273HR. At around 800rpm idle you have to really pay attention to the idle to even notice that it has a bigger than stock cam in it.
