how much does it cost to get a block bored???

Default how much does it cost to get a block bored???

Well things are steadily changing with my damn truck and now ima try to get a lq9 to a 4.0" bore, so how much does this cost and is there any place I can get this done in the houston area??? Thx

The LQ9 is a 4.00" bore.

ya you need to bore it too 4.030 and get a forged rotating assm. with a 4.00'' stroke crank and 6.125 connecting rods to make it a 408 . Or you can just put pistons in it and bore to 4.030 . I think that will give you like a 383 non stroker. You might as well stroke it if you are already going that far into it. My guess for machining would be around $800

Boring is typically between $60-110 depending on who and where. A 4.030" bore and a 3.622 stroke give you a 370ci.

Lol, like I said, things are steadily changing so this thread I made is no use to me cuz now I'm going to go with a lq4 so I can have the dished pistons and run more psi with the turbo and a bigger shot, maybe 200, so I'm still getting the turbo

o'reillys chargers 12 bucks a hole and bore matches to your pistons...
