Default High volume or high pressure oil pump

I'm rebuilding my 5Three. I currently have milled 862, 550 ls1 hot cam, mild ported TB, CAI, and I'm getting a mail in tune from frost, and I just recently bought an ls6 oil pump but found a deal on a brand new melling high volume oil pump. Before I buy it should I keep the ls6 or the high volume but not sure it buying the high volume would be a waste if I really need the high pressure

Stock pump, sorry, seen to many GOOD aftermarket pumps **** a engine out. Just my OP, but sure alot of others will agree. Unless your running over size pans and high RPMS for extended periods, a high flow pump is not needed. The stock pump works well.

If anything just run an oil pump from a newer 5.3 with DOD

high pressure oil pump isnt worth the money... not for only 18%

the ls6 oil pump will suffice. no need to misspend money you can use on some else....

The stock oil pump on my L76 produced pressure about 10psi over stock. Not sure what GM considers that pump, but it was definitely higher than what I normally see on truck engines.

Never heard if any oiling issue with a good stock pump..
