Do you think head studs are needed? I just always thought that a person should put head studs in with FI. I just dont want to have a weak link on the motor.

Its a matter of opinion, how much power do you plan on making?
If its under 700RWHP then i think the bolts will do just fine.

My grandfather always used to say "A head bolt is a decision made with your wallet. A head stud is an engineer's decision." Wouldn't you just kick yourself if something went wrong during a 1/4 mile pass/weekend night of cruising around town where a stud would have prevented the problem?

LOL, stud or bolt, if you experience detonation you can blow a gasket.

If he uses studs and has problems whats he going to say?
Should have went with bolts, now i got to pull the damn engine to take off the head!

If your using the 112 blower i dont think that thing has enough breath to hit 700RWHP.

Theres always an upgrade available.
Thicker heads, stronger rods, coated pistons, coated bearings, billet caps, lighter crank.......
Pick what you need! How much do you want to spend?

I will get the 122 and be done with it. But this year i will just be running nitrous but not sure of the shot. I have never ran nitrous before so i dont know how big of a shot to run. Im thinking 150.
