making ticking noise and a slight miss idle. I have checked
Fuel pressure
new spark plugs and wires
clean out maf sensor
clean throttle body
Im going to check the push rods , I heard that its common for bent push-rods on 5.3
2003 z71 tahoe 5.3 120,000.00 Miles
Anyone know of a good set of push rods (aftermarket) going to replace them for the heck of it .
truck only mods are
Nelsons tune (mail)
EFans
thanks guys

I just bought comp 3/8 hardened pushrods. stop pushrods are 5/16 in diameter from my research, but I got the hardened, larger pushrods since im doing a turbo build.
I don't know about the ticking noise. Is it occurring only while idling? Can you hear it when you're driving? Are all of the spark plugs firing correctly? I guess you got new wires and plugs so they should be good, but maybe a bad coil pack?

is it tapping or ticking?
Oil could be a lil low not allowing enough pump pressure to lubricate the top end.
If my truck is 1/2 way up the dip stick tap tap tap tap but once I fill it up slightly past the operating range no tap.
