well i disconnected the ground that i had on top of the braided line. keep in mind both of these grounds were held in place by the bolt that held the cam position sensor in place. well i left the braided line connected to that bolt and i connected the other ground to the back of the head on the passenger side. the truck started up but after i turned it off and left it alone for 5 minutes, it would not start anymore. then i slowly loosened the bolt little by little until the truck would come on again which it did. then after i turned it off again and left it alone for 5 minutes, it would not start. what the hell is the problem here fellas? by the way when i did drive the truck, it felt like a ******* beast lol

keep in mind, both the braided line as well as the black ground were originally connected to the engine block itself. not the heads. but i cant hook them up to the engine block because the ls1 does not have the 2 holes available on the engine block

Which ever one you can loosen and get it to start, move. I think you meant the one on the cam sensor? I'd move that to the other bank and grab a header bolt (both of mine are on header bolts).

so what your saying is to connect the 2 black grounds (one on pass side and one on driver side) to a header bolt on each side and then where should i put the braided line? and one other thing, are the grounds that you say you have on the header bolts on top of the headers or are they under the header gaskets?

Mine are on top of the header. I have one ground coming from the stud directly behind the intake that goes to the PS header. My strap goes from the stud closest to the engine on the driver's side to the DS header, then the hood goes to the outer most driver's side stud.

put the braided wire to one of the bell housing bolts on the drivers side, or to the back of the head.

The other smaller ground goes to the top of the block next to the cam sensor

you can also use the bolts that hold the front accessories to the motor. Don't share a ground between two wires.

see thing is on the ls1 block, it does not have that hole on the top of the block next to the cam sensor. what about the ground on the driver side? where should that one go?
