Default Engine Masters Magazine

Has a good article on a Ls1...

Basically they did a baseline engine dyno run, then another one with just the rockers, then a run with Comp cams RPM Kit, and another run with the Cam

ENGINE MASTERS MAGAZINE....

Did a article on a ls1 motor w/853 heads, ls6 intake manifold, hooker full-length headers and pair of flowmasters. By upgrading from the factory rockers to Comp Cams 1.7 ratio roller rockers gained 5hp from 4,900-6,000rpms. they said with a 1.8 ratio roller rocker arms may provide even greater gains to the more aggressive translation of the camshaft's profile to the valve. They then added Cam & Valvetrain such as springs, pushrods, ti retainers, Comp cam 222/224 cam with .566/.568 lift with minor tuning.

netted out 466hp at 6,000rpms and 447trq at 5,000rpms

So, what does a set of roller tip rockers cost, $300? And they give you 4-5 hp? Not worth it IMO.

I rode in TooTall's truck with that cam. It was a beast!
