I currently have the same cam as TxSilverado but im looking to step up a little due to its going in a RCSB. This will be a street truck so I need something somewhat streetable but at the same time... itll only be driven about 10 miles a day. My setup is gonna be
LS1 bored .007 over
LS6 Intake
LS6 PP Stage II heads
SS3600
4.10s
Current cam specs
Lift: .584/.584
Duration: 226/226
LSA: 112
I was thinking something like this

honestly go with a mans cam. period anything less will be wasted. i should of went MS3 for my 6litre years ago. i regret it, that Tv2 was a joke. when i tossed the Trex in my 6litre it was insane plain and simple
your truck is light go large. MS4, as comparison RGVtrucks are running the ms4 and ms3 making insane numbers and times

thats why you have a converter and gears dude!!!!!!!! MS4 is a better all around cam over the ms3.
dude with all the combos ive driven over the years. any of the large cams drive like a stock motor do till you hit power band. youll have enough power to drive truck normal. look at charts and youll see cams like the ms4 make just about the same power as a stock cam does. where it lacks gearing comes into play. ppl will say you need torque to get going. have you ever see the dyno grapsh of the big cams? they make **** more torque then any lttle cam. just at a higher rpm. thsi is where a stall comes into play. bein your truck is a RCSB its basically GTO... go large never look back.

Not when it comes to camshafts, no.
Basically what 7845 is saying is that with all the vehicle combo's he's driven over the years, none of the motors have had enough low end torque to please him so instead he puts the lowest gears, biggest cam and highest converter he can into the drive train to rev the hell out of the motor to make power.
Sounds a lot like the mentality of the Civic driver I just dusted on the way home tonight from the football game driving a '76 2wd Sierra with a big block 454.

ever driven a Ms4 car? ever raced one?
you dont see any fast LS cars with low rpm bands and tiny cams.
Torque gets you going HP finishes the work.
just take a look on TSP or thunders site. see the results for the big dawg cams. then look on tech at the fastest car lists and see whos running what
if you say thats cars then look at the trucks from RGV all the big hitters are running what i just spoke of. gears, converter and big cams. its proven over and over again. racing been around for decades all fast rides run large converters, steep gears and large cams.
