i always wanted a choppier idle. i know that one will do it hahahaha.
this is very true stew, after 1st gear our rpms stay above 5k all the run, a MS3 will be a nice cam to try out in your setup, i have always been tempted on getting Patrick G to spec me out a cam and try it out for the hell of it, then we could see if his specs are always better?

dude if you have a large cam you just leave a higher rpm. a power band that starts at 4k is easy to race. with a manual you leave high anyways so your point is invalid. plus in a race with a manual youll never be lower then 5 anyways. even in an auto never under 5k with a cam like stated. what you just stated comes down to driving!!! if someoen has no clue how to drive he or she can have 800hp but dont have clue how to make vehicle respond the vehicle wont do anything
My point about small cams has been proven on ls1tech. Here are a few quotes from the thread and I will be providing you with the link as well.

"We were running 11s on motor back in 1999 with 221/221 cams, full weight cars with zero weight reduction, on drag radials, HYPERTECH TUNING, with ported heads that didn't even clear 300 cfm. It is sad to see how many cars today run slower than that and have HUGE cams and crappy drivability.

Time to quit dyno racing and spend more time at the track."

"Toxic -- that 224 is actually the C2 cam. Which ran 10's with the car properly set-up (N/A no less).....a LONG time ago."
