Default cam question

i found a cam on ebay im bidding on. the specs are 500/500 lift and the dur. is 209/198. thats all i know about the cam. how do yall think it will do in my truck untill i can afford to buy a bigger cam with springs, lifters, push rods and all???

Sounds like a LS1 cam. I have one I would let you have for cheap, but I cant get to it right now. I put it in my truck, and the powerband was a little higher but it ran good, very similar to my 206/212.

BTW personally I would go bigger. Something around 216/220 or so, maybe even bigger than that.

sounds like a stock cam to me< not sure though

Hope you aren't paying much. I got mine for cheap. It idles good, and makes a little bit of power, but the powerband is up in the RPM's a little. I ran it with the stock converter etc.

Yeah i am using a 210/218 from vinci and it idles well, i am using stock converter for now. Hopefully get a 2600-2800 soon though. Great daily driver
