I'm installing an lq9 with heads shaved .020", TR224-114 cam, edelbrock shorties (tired of looking at rusted manifolds), and plan on passing emissions.

It is harder to pass in different states. In GA you are suposed to have cats but I don't, but they only check the computer for any thrown codes. If my truck hasn't thrown any codes and my gas cap tests good I will pass (as long as they don't do the visual inspection like they are supposed to I'm fine).

Agree, as long as you don't have to have the tailpipe sniffer, the OBD-II scan is a blessing in desguise (for passing emissions).

I plan on passing with a cam in the 240's and .620" lift on 112 LSA.

I passed emissions in Rutherford county in TN. They just did the visual and hooked it up. GTG with a good size cam, LTs, Offroad y and some more stuff. I do have a hi-flow cat that.

New Jersey is OBDII scan also, no sniffer on 96 and newer vehicles. I remember reading that guys have passed CA emissions with TR220-114's that were properly tuned (don't remember which engine size though).

the tune is very important when having to pass emissions. gotta love ohio, run whatever you got. CA probably wouldn't even let me across the border in some of the vehicles i've drove.
