Default Advice On Cam Swap

Just looking for some suggestions on choosing the right cam for my truck. 2010 chevy silverado 4.8l. Stock besides cold air intake, long tube headers and exhaust. Im looking for the cam to give me abit more power and that nice lopping sound. Truck is just used for weekend driving/daily driver. What would you guys suggest?

Do you plan to keep the stock torque converter?

If so, look for something in the 212/218 range, that size or very similar are proven to make good power on stock engines with stock converter while maintaining good overall daily drive ability.

A friend of mine just did a TSP Stg 2 on a 110 LSA. He has a 2013 4.8 RCSB. FTI 3000 converter, headers & exhaust.

4.8 is a short stroke motor.
One question to consider while selecting camshaft duration:

What is your Axle GEAR Ratio ?

212/218 with no stall or 218/224 with stall. Something like a btr stage 3 with a 3200 stall, then some gears.

I have a tsp 220/220 110lsa and .600 lift. I have stock converter but 4.56 gears. Love the way it drives.
