4l70 to 6l80 Swap/ L76 to 6.2 LS3 Swap * Advice needed! *
My truck AKA “The Frankenstein” is about to get a total overhaul
I have an OEM “real” VMax 07 nnbs equipped with the 6.0 L76 and M70 (4l70e) tranny. I’m upgrading both engine and tranny at the same time to a 6.2 LS3/ 6L80e combo
My understanding of swaps is to get the similiar model year run for parts (07-09/10-13) so , if I get the 6.2 from a 2010-2013 camaro, I would in turn have to get the 6L80 from a 2010-2013 Silverado/Yukon/Escalade?
Regarding the PRND cluster problem, I’m putting in an entire 2011 Platinum Escalade dash
What all would I need to make this into a reality? Any plug and play harnesses for the tranny ? I read a few threads about there being one for a conversion from 4L60 to 6L80
Do I need the BCM from the Escalade ? Driveshaft issues? Crossmember issues ? VIN numbers for flashing ?
Any advice is HIGHLY WELCOME! I am also seeking professional help from anyone in the DFW and sorrounding areas of Texas that has experience in these awkward scenarios
