Something that is in the area of 212/218 with like a 112-114 LSA, with supporting valve springs.

Anything much larger requires an aftermarket stall converter.

Consider buying slightly larger fuel injectors too depending on model of truck you are working with. Non flex fuel 25/lb/hr injectors do not go very far.

I'll have to agree with FFDP, that's about the most aggressive you'll want - unless you are going to do a loose converter, and all the other supporting mods.

also, if you ain't planning on adding headers (though highly recommended), you'll want one with a tad more exhaust duration.

Kinda depends on what you pick.

A stall in the 2500-3000 range is a good bet, larger fuel injectors and a tune of course.

Pray the transmission is strong and carry on lol.

stock 4L60, no conv. factory inj. but it was a VVT cam.

ive had very good luck with the 212/218 grind, ive had the low lift version from comp on my 5.3 with supporting mods, and now i have it on my 6.0 with ported heads, its the BTR stage 2 grind. i wish i would have gone bigger, i guess just to satisfy my wanting of higher hp numbers on the dyno but the truck is a monster now, it took a friends 04 lightning with pulley and programmer. it hauls. i recommend that cam if not wanting to change converter. good power all around.
