L-EATER is running a LS6 cam,but I think he's shifting about 6400rpm,I'm running a stock cam with 1.85 SLP rockers with LS6 springs and shifting at 6000rpm.I think a mild Comp cam about 206/212 with the lower lift would be the best street setup.I would'nt go over .550 lift. L-EATERs truck is a bad SOB I think he's spraying about a 150 shot on top of the Whipple now,I would'nt recomend what he's doing for your daily driver.

Yeah something dual pattern for sure. I like the 214/220 .520/.540 114LSA get it advanced a few degrees (2-4 but watch P to V clearances). That would be a pretty decenet blower cam and work great on the street...idle well too.

Comp Cam 212/218 @ 114LSA would probably work good also.

For personal, selfish reasons I want you to put the LS6 cam in that thing. So we can see if it helps you more than it helped me (basically none) But the nice guy side of me says go for a custom cam from one of the sponsors or someone who is familiar with the LS1 type engines. I can say this much...the next time mine has to be opened up there will be a healthy sized blower cam shoved in there. Whatever you decide be sure to keep us updated.

I plan on getting Futral to tune the truck so i might see what Alan would suggest, maybe get a custom cam through him. Might have to wait til after x-mas though. Gotta spend some money on others for a change, then it's back to the mods.
Is anyone here running a custom cam for a blower???

So the LS6 cam did not help you? I have one waiting to go in.......

I can't say for 100% but here is the long and short of it: Put the ls6 cam in the stock 6 liter and changed nothing else and took it to the track and ran identical numbers as before the cam. Shelled the motor a few days later. Built a new 6 liter using the ls6 cam, p&p stage 2 ls1 heads from TEA and now I am 21rwhp, 2 1/2 tenths, and 3 mph faster than when it was a bone stock 6 liter. Based on that I'd say the cam isn't doing much if anything.

With the low end benefits of that blower wouldn't and low end torque cam be best? All that I am saying is that a Z06 cam in my buddy's truck didn't feel like it started to pull until 4500. Which would be great on a ATI because that is where the boost starts to build.
However, on a whipple, magnacharger, or radix don't they see 80% of the boost at 3500. Maybe a small cam would work better for this style of blower. Say a 208/212 comp or something like it.
Torque is what we are all after. A small cam and a small shot of juice would be perfect. Torque and low rpm I think would be best in a truck.
Just a thinking out loud. What do I know, I own a ATI.
