So I have been thinking about this all day I really don't want to buy another converter.
From what it seems like is the converter is to tight.
What is a good converter that will wake my truck up.

I ran an 8.2 @ 82mph in a 2000 ECSB 1500 2wd 5.3 with cam, bolt-ons, converter, gears, and slicks pretty much. A converter will drop your times .3 - .5 if you've got traction off the line. The easiest way to drop time in a drag race is off the line. If you can drop a tenth or two off your 60ft, it'll materialize into a larger gain at the finish line. Once you get a consistent 60 ft time, it's time to add power and mph.
