Default 6.0 motor question. Please Help

Hey guys,
I have a chance to buy a 9000 mile 2004 6.0 motor and transmission with computer out of a denali for $2000. Presently I have a 2000 5.3. Can I swap these motors? If so, how hard would it be. Any opinions will help.

Yes you can. Just change the TB! Its not hard, just time consuming.

I would like to give nitrous a shot but I am afraid it will blow up my engine. Probably keep the old powerdyne set up for a little boost.

any one know how hard it is to swap the 6.0 in to a 96 tahoe. I have the vortec 5.7 with CP now . I have the chance to get a 6.0 out of 03 escalade and a sts turbo. I will make it work but if you can make it easier thanks.

Damn good find! I'd jump all over that! If you don't want it, let me know where to get. I could go for second project. My wife wouldn't be too happy, but hey... that is a 6.0.

you'll also have to swap the driver's side fuel rail, crossover, and fuel pressure regulator.
