Is this too much for a stock lq4 with 241 heads?

they are all ususally the same price. NEW is 400ish used is 200-250 in most cases and 300 some times with really low miles or almost new.
A good 220 cam up to 230 depending on what your goal is IMO.

Well 500 flywheel HP with supporting mods like FAST etc. Saw on Horsepower TV a stock lq4 with 220 224 .530 .534 112 LSA FAST 92 Fast 24lb injectors and fuel rails and made 514 at the flywheel.
I actually bought the season just because of those 2 episodes
I figure with 241 heads and a little bigger cam ill be able to hit 550hp
Am i on te right track or way off?

I'd use 243 heads (for more c/r) and bump the lift up a little on the cam. You'll want springs so might as well "spring" for some Patriot Golds. Maybe a little more exhaust duration in case you wanted to go forced induction in the future. It's a myth that a good n/a cam can't be a good f/i cam and vice versa.

That cam you mentioned in post 1 would be way bigger than what I'd want to live with. If someone gave it to me, I'd give them a big thank you and sell it....

Ended up getting this cam from ray on here.
Comp cam
228 230 571 573 112
Plans do include turbo in the future. I'll try with this cam and see how it works out. Don't really want the higher compression of the 243 head I was even thinking a 317 head with a little work, anticipating the turbo.
