Could you figure out what the 1900 would make on the 383? I was thinking around 8psi min with a 2.8 pulley. 9 would be really nice.

My math gets my 8.7lbs on a 383 with a tvs1900 with a 2.8" pulley

its almost 9 haha. too bad you couldnt find a tvs2300, i think my calculations led to a tad over 14psi with a 2.8 pulley. just run meth injection on that tvs1900 if you want more haha.

The plan is for a 2300. If that isn't enough, then I add meth.

math also says a tvs2300 with a 3" pulley will get you 12psi on a 383

Personally if I was going through all the trouble to get a 383, I would not put a 1900 on top of it. It would get the job done but you will want more and the 1900 will be maxed out.

If I had the 383 originally, I would have gone 2300. It will be a future upgrade. For now, the 1900 will have to do.

Way too much! Of course, I'm sure everyone thinks they spend too much. Without blower I'd say it was under 7K. This engine is all forged and can handle 1000hp with ease, I'm sure. Pretty cheap considering what crate engines cost these days.
