Default The 418 is back apart

Tore it all down tonight to put new rings in it and check the bearings out they all looked pretty good. I did have #3 rod cap on the #1 rod and #1 rod cap on #3 rod Guess thats what happens when you are hating life after the 4th time putting it together, drunk and at 4 in the morning. Its going to the machine shop in the morning for the hone job, should have it all back together by this weekend. My 317 heads are on their way to Richard at WCCH tomorrow to get some tender loving care
Here are some pics, the light makes some of the streaks in the bearings look a little worse then they actually are and its the coating on the bearings that almost looks like copper but its not and a 6megapixel camera set on macro so its REALLY sharp.
Mains

Rods
this was ond of the worst ones but its still not bad enough to swap them out though I dont think

this one also isnt too great but its just a small pit, I may end up replacing a couple of the bearings but Ill sleep on it first

Spent 6 hours yesterday cleaning so everything was organized

everything layed out and labeled

my sidekick/helper

Sorry to see that. How many miles did you have on it?

Why did you change from the "Pistons - Wiseco -25cc dish model#K392A3" to the "Pistons Diamond 11576 (in-bore -28cc dish - custom cut for 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 rings"? Is one brand better than the other?

I dont know if you are getting me confused with someone else or not but these are custom JE SRP pistons with 1.5mm 1.5mm 3mm ring packs.
It has approx. 3500 on the build. I didnt really trust the build(I built it lol) because I was EXTREMELY tired(passed out in the backseat of the truck )been drinking for a while since I was so disgusted with all the problems and it was about 4am when I finished assembly the shortblock.

I have an idle video of it with the 237/242 112 lunati cam it had in there but its on my other laptop which is messed up right now. The place where I had it hosted, un-hosted it because of it not being used for a while. The goal right now is to have it up and running by mid March so I can go to the Texas Mile in Goliad at the end of March and see what is can do but, I have a TON of stuff to do so we will see if that happens.
