4.8 W/ls6 cam and intake
Does anyone have this on a 4.8 . I have a 2007 silverado and was thinking about putting the ls6 cam and intake my freind has in my truck. Does anyone know what kind of power it will make.

Do a search for ls6 cam and I'm sure you'll find tons of info. From my reading, as I was once considering it but am now leaning towards a Comp grind, the 01 zo6 cam is more desirable as it allegedly won't kill the low end as much as the 02+ zo6 cams. Depends on your application as to whether or not this is significant or not.

You got the Classic bodystyle or NNBS 07? If the NNBS, the stock intake and LS6 intakes are different as are the Throttle Bodies.
They are probably interchangable, but I know the classic is a 3 bolt TB and the new are 4 bolt like the LS2, and they operate off of a different ECM

From what I can tell, its not so much the duration numbers on the 02+ vs. the 01 cam, its that there's already -4 degree's ground into both grinds, the LSA is huge raising the power band in the rev range but will broaden it out, and the exhaust lobe is heavily biased for stock exhaust set-ups. Its my opinion that with exhaust work, that large of a lobe relative to everything else will slow the exhaust velocity out of the cylinder, but that's just me talking. So if it were my engine, I'd go for the 01 grind.
