yup! Think thats the least of my worries for now...at some point after its running well I'll deal with the rr end, another brake upgrade and then handling. Sways have been done, but maybe airbags or certainly a hotchkiss suspension kit and leveling. R/

I'm not driven it 1st...letting my installer do that. Willing to sacrifice the 1st 500 miles at least to let them find the bugs and break any early parts problems before I take delivery. I have no doubt I'll be back and forth for a while...no plans to let her loose before 1500 miles and 3 oil changes! After what this has cost me I'm gonna baby it and make sure those rings (and everything else) seat well before switching over to synthetic.

For some reason I think you're going to have to baby that rear...maybe it's the 700HP at the flywheel, the 3 tons of truck, the 12 inches of tire, the 5-link....or maybe it's the combination of them...

I'm just sayin'.....if I went to the trouble of building something like that....forged 370 with a 122....I'd be wantin' to have me some fun....and in the process of havin' the aforementioned fun...I'd be concerned about the weak link...and I only see one weak link in this particular equation....

I agree %100 with what your saying especially since I will be having the same problem. I just appreciated the fact that you made sure and hit all the key reasons why our rear's are GOING to give out at some point.

The key might be to keep it in AWD when I plan on tearing it up...dunno...I'd say its the same as with the tranny - there are some out there that have done fine with the 4L60-65 level 5 in our HP range and others that burn thru them. If I planned on lots of track time, it'd already be dealt with, but its my daily driver/hiway truck. Except for squishing BMW's & occasional Vet a run for its money, the plan is to avoid the track - at least regularly!
That said point made and now I'm worried - and wondering where I'm gonna find ANOTHER $2k for that!
