Special thnx to Mark aka TRANNYMAN and Butch from the CT Avalanche Chapter for giving the the tutorial at Dr Nicks Transmission in Milford! These guys are full of info on these motors and they're the ones who recognized my oil probs right away. Swapped out my Moroso pan and remote filter for a stock unit. Was getting oil aeration due to the pick-up O-ring being the non-GM OEM piece...obvious difference in thickness. Results were remarkable...idle smoothed out, power curve feels steeper, and oil temps dropped by 30-40*. Most important got rid of the leaky remote fittings. Also removed my oil cooler; 2 reasons - First forget to get the new fitting to install it with the stock unit, second...was suggested that less travel and external fittings might be a good thing. Certainly hasn't hurt! One less bug!

Ordered CTSV Heat Exchanger...lets see what if this helps get temps down! Cahnged to Amsoil 20/50 and smoothed out the power curve a little more by SOTP and added a few pounds of running oil pressure (60lbs @ 2200RPM cruise - About 75-80mph.

Update: 496rwhp/555torq @ 8lbs on dynojet yest....Thanx to Brian at Magnusson new CTSV exchanger installed - found the old one was pretty gunked up and the bigger unit and better flow really helped! All electrical gremlins are fixed (AC, lites, 4wd...etc), except foer the TB. Havent had the "reduced power" msg in a while and traced it to a bad connector on the TB itself - Richard @ WCCH tracked down a new one and shud be en route! Tie wrapped the TB harness up tight temporarily and seems to be jerry rigged for the moment. Its away for the winter now and we'll see about a little work on ramping up boost, 8 rib pulley install and general tweaking early in 09. I'm just happy its finally working out the bugs. R/

Trust me, u dont want one...had to have it altered to fit the 4x4 (actually they did a great job - see the pix). I went back to the OEM part and got rid of the remote filter and hassles.
