2nd - voltmeter reads only 11+ amps charging down from normal 14...shud I be changing my battery or alternator or what?

P0315 ........ You need to have the "crankshaft position (CKP) variation learn procedure" performed by a dealer or tuner. I know EFILive can do this.

I assume that the alternator is connected. Does the guage show 11V at all RPMs or just at idle? Did you put a voltmeter on the battery when it is running to see if you get the same reading there? Should be like 12V engine off, 14V engine running.

I would strongly suggest finding someone local to help you out with the tuning. Your truck will never be at its full potential until you do.

If you have HP Tuners, go to the HPT forum and look up EC_Tune...he can hook ya up... He has spliced a couple of the Av 80E tunes over in our truck club....

Good Luck

Agreed...but I already had one of their tunes so it was a good starting point, until I can break it in and get proper tuning. R/

My builder did all the checks and tells me its 12.2v with a meter..battery is fine...prior to the install the guage in the ruck read 14 even, and now its only 11ish...I wondering if its a ground prob...theyr'e gonne test it more and try another alternator and/or battery to see if either is the prob...hopefully an easy fix...cud be that I need the 140amp alternator. Congrats! Get to a dyno and get tuned. I think Eastside Performance is in your neck of the woods...
