Something else though, if you have a certain number in mind for top end hp, the l92 will get you there with a smaller cam (which will help bottom end tq some).

Lightbulb Some Ideas......

If you were going to go with the L92/LS3 heads, I'd think about doing something like this: 2.04" Intake valves w/ seats (if you can get these to fit) Then have the valve seats blended into the bowls for a smooth transition. Good 5 angle / competition valve job on the valves. These smaller intake valves will help increase the bore to valve clearance by .006". Stock size 1.59" exhaust valves with a 5 angle / competition valve job and bowl blending back into a professionally ported exhaust port will help to really increase the exhaust flow on these. Finally, to bump up compression, have them milled .018 to .024 depending on what you're comfortable with. That'll help wring out more torque while allowing you to go a little bigger than the stock cam.

As for the cam, maybe look at an Isky HR-813 intake / HR-816 (214/224 @ .600/.608) about a 113 LSA +2* to 3* with an ILCL degree reading to meet your low to mid RPM goal. At this point you'd be looking for a good set of Dual Valve springs from either PAC/Crane/Isky/PRC. Also would probably be good to get a set of the trunion upgrade bearings from Comp to add to the stock rockers and offset intake rockers due to the lift of the cam. If you don't want to do that or buy roller rockers, I'd look at this for a cam Isky HR-740 / HR-741 with a 112 LSA +3* to 4*.
