Ive been looking at the marine 8.1's . Do you have experience with them?

What was wrong with it? No low end, mid range, top end? Cam specs aren't bad at all for a 5.3. Stall seems small regardless though for a stock cam or aftermarket cam IMO.

Less low end and mid range than the stock cam. The truck felt more responsive and was quicker out of the hole when it was
stock with the 2600 stall. Didn’t want to make the jump to a 3000-3200 stall for daily drivability.

Thr truck is in the process of a Thompson MS 370 w/ 11:1 cr and I’ll be reusing the same cam/ stall, should be promising.
I’ll check back in with the results.
