Default 2006 v-max cam swap

I'm not exactly sure which section to put this in but i figured it will work here.. I just bought a 06 v-max 2wd with 35k miles and I am wanting to do a cam swap in the near future.. That is probly what i will leave it at.. maybe do small mods after that.. Intake, custom tune, headers, not sure what all.. I was just wandering which cam u all would recommend for a daily driver... I would prefer not to have to buy a differnt converter but if i have to i have to.. also im running around a 15 sec quarter.. will that put me at a 14sec quarter? thanks

I would suggest you install the bolts ons first get a tune and see how you like it. that may get you your 14 sec. pass if you need more power look for a cam

I would look into either of the trucker cams for your setup

I agree on the trucker cam! Ive talked to tons of people and everyone who has it loves it.. and if you ever decide to go f/i you still got a very capable cam for that as well!

Moved to the Internal Engine Modifications section for you.

Yeah, the Trucker cam does work pretty well for a lot of people!

First off, you will hit 14's easy with bolt on mods. Hell even a 13 is possible in the right weather.

That being said, I have out a trucker cam in a silvy SS with the bolt on mods and a stock converter. It has great manners and definitely made a big improvement. Thast not to say it wont be a lot faster with a converter... but it certainly does fine without it.
