My buddy has a 06SS, with a 228r it scoots along pretty good for being a heavy truck.

If you drive it a lot and want it as reliable as possible then id say long tubes, cam, procharger/magnacharger and last but not least a 4l80e conversion!

I dont understand why people dont think turbos are reliable... Ever wonder why you dont see many production supercharged vehicles anymore and everyone going turbo??? Anything you do will be as reliable as you decide to build it.

However, if you want something that has proven itself over and over agian for reliability, you cant go wrong with a low boost magnacharger setup.

Um 4cyl ya but how many production turbo V8's have been made? Not saying turbo's are not reliable, if done right I feel they are. I feel allot of the smaller engines are going turbo so they can cut CI, keep power and maintain similar gas mileage.

Mercades, BMW, Audi, Porsche not to mention alot of the much higer end exotics... There are more out there then you think. Just not really any AMERICAN production cars. Seems were always just behind the ball in the auto industry.

well i think more of turbo than a magnacharger cause i think the turbo would get better mpg. would you all build a 370cubic in or over 400 cu in.
