When I think DI... I think of this

Has any one dove into the new motors pcv setup? There are a million threads and pics for nnbs and older trucks. What's the system look like for these new ones?
... Just ordered two boombaa 3/8 check valves and already have a mike Norris catch can.

I don't post much but I do follow what's going on with the new trucks. I have a new 2014 Silverado with the 6.2L & this thread got me wondering... I pulled the throttle body to see how the new baffle system was working & if there was any oil in it. It has 1300 miles on it now & it had a little puddle in the bottom of the manifold. I have put on a catch can & now we'll see if that stops it. I took a pic of the oil but don't know how to post it. I could email it to someone if they would post it.

just out of curiosity, if you take it back to the dealership and tell them " I pulled the tb and saw oil..." are they going to give you any **** about warranty for having pulled the tb?
I'm going to check on mine Friday when I get a chance to work on it and if theres oil in there I'll go to my dealer and raise hell ( as long as they're not going to jump my *** for pulling the tb lol )

You don't have to pull the TB, you can just open the butterfly with your hand & look in but you might need a flashlight to see dark oil in a black manifold. I pulled the TB just to get a better look inside & it made it easier to remove the oil to see how well the catch can is going to work in the future. The service dept would probably tell you it's "normal" because they see it all the time... Post back what you see & let us know.

how did you run the hoses for the catch can? my current intake tube has 2 hose locations (one for each valve cover) I was thinking about Y'ing them together and capping the extra location so I can run a single catch can.

I'm to cheap to buy one of the hi-dollar ones & this one should work as good or better than them. I mounted it in the extra battery area & drilled a hole in the plate & run a drain hose down from there. It replaces a short U shaped 3/8" line that goes from the galley plate to the intake manifold behind the TB on the left side, a very simple hookup. I think it will stop the oil, we'll see...
