The machine shop that worked on my motor pressed the pick up tube in for 20 bucks. Now I can finish putting it together.

Ready to be dropped in today. Its only been 5 months with out my daily. I’m happy I have a car I can drive. It’s just not a car I would ever pick LOL a 1998 Toyota Avalon. But man I miss my truck.

She is in and bolted right up. Things I learned waswas I shouldn’t have bolted up the motor mounts to the engine first. Once I removed those and bolted them to the frame and drop the motor onto them. It went so much smoother.
I’m sure y’all knew that.

Well she is up and running smooth. I need to touch up the tune just slightly but it drives great.

Not sure if the K2 trucks have the same motor mounts but I noticed the same thing on gen6 Camaro, it's way easier to mount the mounts to the engine (or leave them on when you pull it) then to try to remove them in the car/truck. You think it's not since the stud clearance/through hole looks really small and looks really hard to get the motor aligned and dropped right down on it, while also aligning the torque converter and flywheel alignment thing.

Ok I’m having one electrical problem. It seems like a dying battery. When I go to start it. It’s really weak and the clock on the radio will reset. Also when I go to remote start it. It will just click the starter and not even try to turn it over.
SO
I got my father in law to warranty the battery with a new one. And I still have the same problem.
I’m thinkings it’s a ground? Any idea’s?

Found it.
There is a ground wire to the block. On the passenger side just in front of the starter. I only started the threads and never tightened the bolts down.
